In het Canadese Vancouver is verleden week een originele band teruggevonden met daarop een auditie van de Beatles uit 1962.
Rob Frith vond in zijn Neptoon records een oude BASF-band met daarop als titel ‘Beatles 60s Demos’, maar dacht dat het om een bootleg ging.
Na beluistering met een bevriende studio-eigenaar concludeerde hij dat het om een kopie gaat van een band met daarop een auditie van de Beatles.
‘I picked up this tape years ago that said Beatles Demos on it. I just figured it was a tape off a bootleg record. After hearing it last night for the first time, it sounds like a master tape. The quality is unreal. How is this even possible to have, what sounds like a Beatles 15 song Decca tapes master?’
